Bored this weekend? Watch my new Croatia vlog + AI experiment 👀

I took my first solo trip at 17, Reader.

No smartphone, no real plan. Just me, a 4-day backpacking itinerary, and a very serious case of delusion.

Since then, I’ve traveled to more than 50 countries—solo, in groups, for work, for fun...

And let me tell you:

Traveling has changed. A lot.

And Microsoft Copilot just reached out to me with the craziest challenge...

Technology is shaping how we move through the world.

Literally.

And I like to stay ahead of the curve. Not just as a traveler but as a creator, previous engineer/girlie-in-STEM, and a woman who travels solo.

So Microsoft’s challenge really caught my attention: to use AI not just to plan, but to actually co-pilot one of my trips.

Nervously, I thought about it...

Would this take away from my trip, or add to it?

Would using it stress me out with info overload?

What if it gave me inaccurate information and became more of a headache?

But then I started to think…

Could it answer questions even my tour guide didn’t know? Like,

💡 “Where's the perfect place for me to eat dinner today if I’m looking for a great view of sunset?” or

💡“Based on what you know about me, what's a reminder I should have to stay present while exploring today?”

Could AI help me, an experienced traveler of 10+ years, be even better? And make my life easier?

I didn’t know what to expect. But I documented every moment.

There were minor glitches. There were seriously impressive lessons.

And it ended up being one of the most unexpectedly enlightening trips I’ve taken.

After, drop “Did you ride the mini horse?” in the comments (and your thoughts) so I can see who went to watch it from this newsletter! 🤭

If you’ve been curious about AI but unsure how it fits into your world as a traveler:

I hope my video surprises and inspires you!
